Sacred Sunday - How Great Thou Art

Can I just tell you how many people have sung this song and have it posted on YouTube? There's even a video of Elvis Presley singing it! Don't believe me? Go and watch it! I really like the Carrie Underwood version of this song, but all of the videos I found had a lot of clapping and just didn't feel as spiritual to me.

Yesterday at my grandpa's funeral, my cousin Nate accompanied his brother Sam on the violin, and then Sam's wife Jamie and I singing How Great Thou Art. This has always been one of my favorite hymns, and I believe that it was my grandpa's favorite hymn as well. The fourth verse is especially fitting when celebrating someone's life:

When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation,

And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart.

Then I shall bow, in humble adoration,

And there proclaim, "My God, how great Thou art!"
